The Pampered Palate opened it's doors on June 1, 2002. Opened by Tammy & Jason Bakus, it was one of their life long dreams & aspirations fulfilled!

Executive Chef Jason Bakus has had nearly 20 years culinary experience. He started out in Stowe, Vermont, as an apprentice to Certified Master Chef Anton Flory through the American Culinary Federation. He served under Chef Flory for four years at a Four-Star Hotel called "Top Notch Resort," which is nestled in the foothills of Stowe, Vermont.

In 1988, he was asked to join the Northeast Regional Team for the Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt, Germany. While there, the team took home more gold medals than any other team in the United States.

Following his return from Germany, he served as Grande’ Manger for the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, he handled the ice carvings, garnishes and other similar responsibilities. Later, he took a Grande’ Manger position at the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, Massachusetts. A year later, he & Tammy moved to Naples, Florida. He worked as Assistant Grande’ Manger for the Ritz Carlton, Naples, Florida.

In 1992, he was recruited by the Wood Company to be the District Chef for the Western Region. Although stationed at Edinboro University, he was responsible for various duties in this region working at various colleges  managed by the Wood Company. While at Edinboro University, he also taught many cooking classes over the years. This is where Jason and Ross Bell began working together and did so for 12 years.

In 2002, Jason and his wife Tammy decided to make there dream a reality by opening "The Pampered Palate"  "It was an opportunity to obtain a life long goal and make our dream become a reality. He said. "I've always loved cooking, catering and working with people." His philosophy is to bring people new things in culinary delights while still offering healthy choices  they desire.

Tammy who is also a nurse, enjoys serving people and loves the retail end of the business. She researches and contacts new retail adventures frequently. She also enjoyed designing the Cafe & Bistro and looks forward to future ventures.
